Automation and control in theory and practice

The aim of the fourteenth meeting of experts in automation, control and industrial informatics from universities and industry is to highlight modern trends in the field, to enable professionals, professors and researchers to present the results achieved in their activities, exchange experiences and to establish working contacts between meeting participants.

The event is organized jointly by the Institute of Production Management of the Faculty of Production Technologies of the Technical University of Košice, with seat in Prešov and the Department of Automation and and Human Machine Interactions of the of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the Technical University of Košice. The event is held under the auspices of the Dean of FVT TU in Košice with seat in Prešov Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Jozef Zajac, PhD. and Dean of the FME TU in Košice Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Jozef Živčák, PhD., MPH.

Program focus

Automation, as part of almost of each advanced technical field, requires to responding to the current trends by modernizing the curriculum and to adequately react to the problems of practice in the field of basic and applied research.
The event will take place in three sections:

The event is organized with the support of the projects APVV-15-0602 - Predictive system for monitoring and evaluating the efficiency of heat production and supply using computational intelligence techniques. APVV-15-0700 - Research of a new composite material for the production of CNC machines for progressive machining of products made of powder materials produced by the additive DMLS technology.
